Greggs & Primark Have Been Baking up a Second Collab Inspired by Festival Attire

There’s no denying the name Greggs is a well-respected brand amongst Brits and we would of never expected that the high street bakery would be an obvious choice for consumers searching for what’s fresh in fashion, but a second collaboration with Primark may prove everyone wrong.

Famous for their pastries – Greggs’ second collaboration with Primark will see the arrival of bucket hats, shorts, vests, hoodies, varsity jackets, T-shirts and more – all sporting the name of the sausage roll experts.

This unlikely duo will be hoping to reach the same success as their first collaboration, which went on sale in February and was allegedly selling for three times its original retail price on reselling sites such as eBay.

Inspired by festival attire, Greggs and Primark have stayed true to their affordability values and priced their new collaborative collection at £8 for a T-shirt, £12 for shorts, £16 for the hoodie, £25 for the varsity jacket and £6 for the clog sandals.

We’ve seen Supreme x Louis Vuitton, Adidas x Gucci, and even the surprising Balenciaga x The Simpsons and as of the Friday 5 August – shoppers will be able to head to Primark to shop for the second drop of the Greggs x Primark collaboration.

Hope for this relatively new collection hasn’t come from irony but for a genuine British love for Greggs. Founded in 1939, Greggs has developed its own fan base, as the majority of Brits will admit they have a soft spot for Greggs.

Greggs is seen as an affordable brand that people will want to align themselves with. If you match the affordability of both Greggs and Primark, then fans and customers of the two will rejoice when they learn of the affordable pricing of the duo’s clothing collection.

Despite Greggs being a large UK chain, the brand has managed to project a respectful and humble way to carry a business. Whether it’s the free breakfasts for primary school children or consistent reasonable prices – Greggs appears to be a well run business.

Although it’s also affordable, the same hasn’t always been said of Primark, who have been criticised for the mistreatment of staff overseas and allegedly not paying the real living wage in the UK. However, it’s the Greggs logo that will be appearing on the clothing for all to see.

If you’re feeling this unlikely yet brilliant collaboration – remember you can get some for yourself from Primark as of Friday 5 August.
