From Nike, Supreme, to New BalanceStone Island have selectively connected with many brands other the years, they’ve reached great success while doing so and specifically describe their partnership with New Balance as: “A partnership between two cultures of innovators.”

To much excitement, New Balance and Stone Island announced their partnership back in March 2021 and thanks to the duo’s talented Tokyo Design Studio, the RC ELITE SI reached sold-out success and has widely opened the door for this upcoming, two-part sequel.

With another design led by New Balance‘s Tokyo Design Studio, the new Stone Island x New Balance TDS FuelCell RC ELITE V2 has been described by Stone Island as embodying the legacy of design-led innovation and gimmick-free quality that links both the brands.

The Stone Island TDS FuelCell RC Elite’s technological features, propulsive FuelCell cushioning, breathable kit uppers and a full-length, energy returning carbon fibre plate are paired with jagged edged and synthetic overlays inspired by the 574 design.

A closer look at the two new colourways of the RC ELITE V2’s can be seen below.

Initially, the first collaborative silhouette from Stone Island and New Balance, the RC ELITE SI, stuck to a simple design which was based around cream and white knits with pops of red to accent Stone Island’s iconic logo. This colourway is still very pale when compared to its successors.

One of the new pairs incorporates a maroon and acidic green colourway while the other is primarily grey with a  vivid red weave and you can see both designs on the uppers threads around the profile and across the forefoot.

The RC ELITE V2 in maroon is sourced from the 574 design and its partner is designed with New Balance‘s signature shade of grey – we can see New Balance are intertwining traditional colours with new, bolder options.

We have you sorted on all the information you need about their releases…

Both colourways will be available exclusively at Stone Island stores on Thursday 30 June before releasing on Tuesday 5 July on the Stone Island and New Balance websites.

Another release from New Balance’s T-House and selected retailers will follow on Friday 8 July – we’ll be sure to inform everyone on these retailers upon release.
