U.K. rap sensation Dave has never been shy to show his love for Stone Island in many of his music videos and the young star is still keen to embrace the Italian luxury fashion label on the football pitch for the latest rendition of the ‘Santan Cup.’
The Santan Cup made its debut in 2017 and this years tournament took place in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, where Dave and his team took to the pitch wearing unique kits cosigned by Stone Island and New Balance.
Previous Santan Cup tournaments have featured the likes of Stormzy, Krept & Konan and Rhian Brewster – but this year the Inter Milan and Brazil legend Adriano took to the field in an unveiled piece of ‘PSYCHO’ merch.
New Balance supplied Dave and his team with boots and balls but as for the first-of-its-kind kit – it seems to be seen crafted in a camo-style and snakeskin-style pattern.
On the chest, Stone Island‘s text logo is featured in the center of the jersey, while New Balance’s logo and a Stone Island compass crest can be seen on the opposing side.
The two brands began a long-term collaborative partnership in 2021 and have joined together to release a selection of footwear pieces in the past year.
However, this is the first sign of a football-facing drop between the duo. It’s unclear right now whether the kits will even be available for public purchase, so ensure to keep checking at The Hoxton Trend as we’ll be the first to let you know.
