It’s a common opinion that Travis Scott has become one of the most influential Nike collaborators of recent times and the duo’s Air Jordan 1 iterations are often strong contenders for shoe of the year.
More recently, Travis takes on the Air Jordan 1 silhouette for the second time, only this time around he’s not using pre-release hype surrounding the colourway. Titled “Black Phantom” – this new Air Jordan 1 Low is arguably Travis’ most sleek and smartest looking trainer yet.
The most obvious detail in a Travis Scott collaboration is of course the reverse Nike Swoosh, which has become a noticeable symbol within streetwear culture.
The other details in the new collaborative trainers can only be properly appreciated when seen up close. A deep black is presented throughout its entirety, with different layers of paneling that are only made visible thanks to a white contrast stitching. Take a proper look below:
A set of black waxed laces help compliment the premium feel of the upper, which is also reinforced though the mixture of soft suede that underlays the nappy suede panels.
Dual-branding can be seen at the heel, plus an insole print and a subtle vertical “Cactus” logo beneath the classic Nike Swoosh.
A raffle at BSTN is currently live for the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Black Phantom.” Priced at £139.99, customers have until Wednesday 14 Dec at 12:00 pm to enter the raffle.
If you like the look of these kicks, you should consider trying your luck at the raffle and not trusting resellers, as pairs of the Black Phantom are currently selling on StockX for over £1,000!
