2007 marks the duo’s very first collaboration where Supreme gave the Midas touch to a pair of The North Face‘s Summit jackets. Combining a mixture of earth tones with bright volt colours, the collaborative Summit jackets sported leopard-print linings which became a recurring theme in Supreme collections.
Next up, in 2008 Supreme took the The North Face‘s Summit jacket and dressed them in graphics of New York City – resulting in both “Day” and “Night” collaborative jackets.
After a two-season break, Supreme and The North Face came back with three Expedition pullovers in red, black and “duck” camo. The jackets are 100% waterproof, triple-layered, and featured tricot backed nylon shells. This trio have a very deserving spot on this list.
F/W 2010 saw a trio of The North Face‘s Mountain Parkas reworked with British Millerain’s water-resistant waxed cotton (the same fabric used to craft Barbour‘s iconic hunting jackets).
F/W 2011 saw the legendary Nuptse puffer jackets crafted in striking gold, green and grey leopard print colourways. Designed with water-resistant nylon shells and 700-fil goose down, Drake famously boasted the grey Supreme x The North Face Nuptse jacket during his 2012 music video for “The Motto.”
S/S 2012’s collaboration provided us with a couple of Venture Parkas in water-resistant ripstop nylon Hyvent shells. Featuring an all-over map print, as iconic as they are, this pair of jackets are some of the least popular Supreme x The North Face pieces.
The colder season of 2013 marked the return of the fan-favourite Nuptse jacket, boasting a rabbit fur pattern instead of their leopard print. Crafted with The North Face‘s insulating 700-fill goose down, this drop also came with a gilet version.
For the first time ever, both brands teamed up and debuted the Expedition Coaches jackets – giving the sportswear staple a waterproof nylon shell and detachable hood. Sporting Polo-style flag patches, one jacket from this drop featured a bold map print, a nod back to ’90s outdoor gear.
The summer of 2016 saw the introduction of some bright and vibrant outdoor gear, ready for the summer. Featuring hues of bright red, yellow, and aqua blue – this Supreme x The North Face drop was a definite nod to ’90s hip-hop fits.
The fall of 2017 saw Supreme and The North Face introduce a collection of snake-printed offerings. Arriving in hues of green, grey and black – this collection fitted in well with the collaboration’s reputation of crafting eye-catching pieces.
