The GRM Gala which took place on Monday 1 August, welcomed some top artists, entrepreneurs and leading industry figures to come together to celebrate black excellence in the UK entertainment and music industry.
Hosted by GRM Daily (Grime and Rap Music), the annual Awards Gala took place at the lavish surroundings and gardens of Kensington Palace, London.
The highly-anticipated, star-studded event was attended by a number of celebrities within the industry, such as Ashley Walters, Unknown T, Wretch 32, Tion Wayne, Daniel Kaluuya, Maya Jama, Chunkz, Yung Filly and many more.Â

Some fits worn by the stars that stood out to us has to be Oscar winner Daniel Kaluya dressed in a navy Gucci suit, Wretch 32 repping a bespoke tailored suit from Scabal, Michael Dappah and his Bottega suit, of course the eye catching Maya Jama in a long red gown from Sophie Couture and Unknown TÂ stepped through in his signature look – a combo of Vogue and Hood.
In fact, Unknown T has recently been experimenting with his modelling capabilities, making his debut on the catwalk for Luis Vuitton at the 2021 Paris Fashion Week.
Founder of the event and CEO of GRM Daily – Koby ‘Posty’ Hagan explained that the event was an amazing opportunity for black excellence to celebrate their achievements together.
He went on to explain that he was: “Excited to be a part of championing black British excellence in music, entertainment and sport.”
The annual GRM Gala first took place in 2020 and it’s managed to up the ante and grow in size and prestige with each event since then.
The first two GRM Gala’s took place at One Marylebone and The V&A Museum – with another strong guestlist including Stormzy, AJ Tracey, Ms Banks and many more.Â
The gala has become one of the glitziest celebrations of recent years and has cemented its status forever on the fashion calendar for bringing together the best in style, music and entertainment.Â
