Putting to the test how many times you can celebrate one anniversary, Stone Island will look for any excuse to release a new innovative and unique drop for their millions of fans.
Stone Islands new special edition for their 40th anniversary is a comprehensive collection of garments that are inspired by the Stone Island Archive.
The special edition features a rucksack, long and short-sleeve T-shirt, polo sweatshirt, jogging bottoms and swimming trunks. The thing is that this new collection cannot be bought individually as they’re only available as one solid kit.
Here to provide some more details – the garment dyed backpack is made from 100% organic cotton and also polymers deriving from 52% biomass. It also features an anti-drop agent without perfluorocarbons
The short-sleeve crewneck T-shirt comes in 24/1 raw cotton. The Stone Island Marina print can be seen on the chest of this garment dyed tee.
Also in 24/1 raw cotton, the long-sleeve crewneck T-shirt features horizontal striped bust and Stone Island lettering on the chest. Also garment dyed, the long-sleeve tee features sleeves with elbow padding taken from the iconic Archive rubber patch.
The drawstring joggers which are also 24/1 cotton feature blue padding at the knees which is taken from the iconic Archive rubber patch at knees.
Designed in cotton terry, the short-sleeve polo sweatshirt features a segmented striped motif and Stone Island lettering on the outside and two metal buttons at the neck.
The last element of the kit, the swimming trunks are made in cotton nylon and feature all-over pigment prints with vertical segmented striped motifs and Stone Island lettering.
Stone Island’s brand new special edition kit for their 40th anniversary will have Stone Island fans sweating at the thought of receiving multiple outfits and even a backpack all in one purchase.
As of now, the kit is exclusive to Stone Island and is only available via their store and website for a price of around the region of £1,250.00.
That’s roughly £200 – £215 per item, which isn’t exactly outrageous for Stone Island especially when you go back to have a second look at that exclusive backpack.
Will you be coping Stone Island’s special edition 40th anniversary kit? For me, I’ll be waiting to see if I notice anyone I pass wearing the kit while I think about making this type of investment.
