One of the UK’s pioneers of grime music and now a multiskilled creative known all around the globe, Skepta is always a welcomed co-sign for any creative, even Clint419 and his flourishing streetwear imprint that’s taking over the world – Corteiz.
Spotted via Instagram, Skepta recently linked up with his long-time friend Clint419, while boasting the brand new Corteiz ‘Carni’ football jersey that celebrates the upcoming Notting Hill Carnival.
Skepta proves once again he was and possibly will always be right at the centre of UK streetwear culture. As seen below, he can be seen repping Corteiz’s new Jamaica-themed football jersey, completing his look with his own Big Smoke Records chains, a black hat and black tech shorts.
Additionally, Clint419 opted for a similar but very different look as he can be seen styling an unreleased Corteiz “18” jersey, a pair of Corteiz jean shorts, and a white hat.
This isn’t the first time Skepta’s linked up with the Corteiz founder as the two have recently been spotted shooting an unreleased music video together.
Corteiz have been capitalising on the rising popularity of the football jersey recently, with the label’s latest football-inspired garment celebrating this Sunday’s (August 27) Notting Hill Carnival.
The carnival celebrates Caribbean culture and heritage, which is showcased on Corteiz’s new green, yellow and black jersey. The design also features large swirling “C” star logo graphics and the signature Corteiz “rulestheworld” motif on the chest.
Available to shop from the Corteiz website, there’s still plenty of time to pick up a ‘Carni’ jersey before this weekend’s carnival! In other Corteiz news: check out the new designs from the London-based imprints new summer arrivals.
