For the first time and with what is arguably both brands biggest collaboration yet – the London skate imprint Palace has announced their upcoming major collaboration with the Italian fashion giants Gucci.
The special collaboration between Gucci‘s Alessandro Michele and the co-founders of Palace, Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis, will combine Palace’s extensive back catalog of skate styles with the Italian house’s unmatched cross-generational influence.
The collaboration has been described by Alessandro Michele as “where fashion comes alive” and the special range is set to focus on the theme of the “street.”
The anticipated collection will include a variety of clothing and accessories for all genders, including Palace‘s debut women’s ready-to-wear designs.
Naturally, the collaboration merges the aesthetics and languages of both brands, no more so than in the fusing of Gucci‘s Double-G and Palace‘s Tri-Ferg logos to create a unique dual motif.
We expect the collaboration to be a unique blend of Italian luxury with the fluid streetwear label raised in the twenty-first century. We already know that the collection is set to include statement leather jackets, knit bombers, graphic T-shirts, football-inspired jerseys and lots more.
The Palace x Gucci collection will be available for purchase exclusively through Gucci Vault – the fashion house’s concept store that launched in September 2021.
The Gucci Vault will also be rendered in physical form through a series of pop-up stores in Milan, Paris, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Osaka, as well as takeovers of Palace stores in London, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo – this is the first time Gucci has ever accepted another creative to reconfigure their chosen destinations.
If you’re slightly impatient like I am and can’t wait too long – get your Gucci fix by checking out our extensive collections of discounted Gucci and our main selection of full price Gucci. Farfetch‘s variety of Palace apparel is also extremally vast and worth taking a look at.
The days may be getting darker and colder, but there’s now a Palace x Gucci collaboration almost within arms reach and its going to be bigger and bolder than ever.
