Not many fashion labels are as committed to push beyond our flesh-and-blood world and utilize a life of longevity in the world of digital fashion, quite like Gucci are.

This may have something to do with the current creative director of Gucci – Alessandro Michele, who has been described as technology-obsessed and fascinated by the metaverse.

Michele’s played a key role in helping bring together an NFT exhibit hosted by the Gucci Vault and bringing an immersive Gucci experience for the online game platform ‘Roblox.’

The Gucci Vault NFT exhibit, called “The Next 100 Years of Gucci,” is all a part of Gucci‘s long-term plan to become a fundamental element of the metaverse which for many, represents the future of culture. “The Next 100 Years of Gucci” is possibly the Italian giants most invested NFT project to date so far.

For many years now, Gucci has been one of the frontrunners of physical fashion and they’re showing no signs of ever slowing down their pursuit of taking the luxury fashion label further into the world of NFTs and continue to leverage this technology to embrace the future of fashion.

Gucci are also getting stuck into web3 – an idea for a new iteration of the World Wide Web based on blockchain technology, which embraces many concepts such as token-based economics.

Many fashion labels are gradually working more and more with Web3 which increases the space as a whole and helps make it easier to build strong online communities.

The world of digital fashion is providing brands with opportunities to grow, opportunities that we didn’t even know would exist 5/10 years ago.

It’s easy to imagine that Gucci will be looking to continue diving into Web3 and NFTs, to continue to strengthen their connection to this industry and embrace the future of fashion.

It was only last year when the very first Gucci NFT was auctioned off. Given how much they’ve achieved in the year since then, can you imagine what they could possibly achieve in “The Next 100 Years of Gucci”?
