Jerry Lorenzo’s label Fear Of God is back again with their seventh collection; a brand new Essentials collection. This time, the line features a variety of earthy, neutral tones, keeping with their distinct, minimal style.
The new Fear Of God Autumn/Winter 2021 Essentials collection quickly follows from the collaborative drop between the brand and New Era label, where they take nostalgic influence from American sports culture. Essentials is a hugely popular range, best known for the classic Essentials hoodies which have become a hit trend over the past year in menswear.
This time, the range features another selection of minimal pieces, including hoodies, sweatpants, sweatshirts, t-shirts, polo shirts, pullover jumpers and jackets. Reaching through a spectrum of silhouettes from baggy to fitted, the autumn/winter range highlights a palette of earthy colours, from khaki and brown to a cleaner looking mix of grey and beige. Once again, Fear Of God caters for a huge variety of styles and consumers – this collection has something to suit everyone’s taste.
In celebration of the launch, Lorenzo took to Instagram to promote some of his favourite looks from the range.
Fear Of God’s latest Essentials range clearly represents the growth of the brand, and the evolution of the distinct design style it incorporates. In a recent WWD interview, Lorenzo said himself “The direction is always the same, it’s chasing the space between elegance and comfortability and trying to land the plane in those two words. We’ve just added categories and new vocabulary. I think for the first time, the story is really around our maturation as a brand… We’re demanding not to be considered street, emerging or contemporary, but a definition of what fashion is, where it is today and where it’s going.”
