Travis Scott’s anticipated collaboration with Dior which was initially postponed due to the Astroworld tragedy, has been given the thumbs out from Dior and is scheduled to release this month.

The French fashion house confirmed today (July 1) that they will be collaborating with Travis Scott’s own Cactus Jack brand.

The capsule will include men’s ready-to-wear apparel, trainers and accessories including backpacks. Some of the collection can be seen in images from the Dior Summer 2022 Men’s runway show which can be seen below.

Cactus Jack Dior will see Scott reunited with Dior’s menswear director Kim Jones.

This collection that draws inspiration from Scott’s personal style, skatewear and classic Dior motifs is cheduled to become available at Dior’s website and at selected Dior Stores from June 16.

It was initially set for a January release but was put on hold in December 2021 following the deaths of ten attendees at the Astroworld concert in Houston.

Following the incident, a rep for Dior announced: “Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in the summer 2022 collection.”

Dior were not the only brand to put their collaboration with Scott on hold in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy. His work with McDonald’s and Fortnite slowed down while Nike took the same approach as Dior by putting their collaborative work to an immediate halt.

After six-months away, Scott’s officially making a return to the public eye. He graced the stage at 2022’s Billboard Music Awards in May and has more recently announced a one off show in London at the O2 arena on August 6.

Tickets for his London show went on sale this morning (July 1) and sold out within minutes. Following phenomenal demand for tickets, Scott announced a second show at the O2 in London on August 7.

Meanwhile, Scott is still facing legal repercussions from Astroworld, following a February motion which saw hundreds of lawsuits against Scott combined into one case.
