They may not be something we’d consider wearing ourselves, but that doesn’t make it any less entertaining when we see a new viral fashion moment and many this weekend may of spotted the Big Red Boots from MSCHF (pronounced “mischief”).
The big, bold and bright boots by MSCHF might seem like a joke but they’ve already warmed the feet of celebrities such as Lil Wayne, Rich the Kid, Fivio Foreign, Oklahoma City Thunder’s player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, model Sarah Snyder, and female rapper Coi Leray.
The “A Milli” hitmaker boasted the bright boots while filming a music video with NLE Choppa on Saturday, February 11. Lil Wayne went for a long white shirt with baggy yellow and black striped shorts (that look like trousers when paired with the boots).
Rich the Kid also took to Instagram that same day to show off his outfit, complete with the Big Red Boots. Take a closer look below…
Founded in 2016, MSCHF are an American art collective based in NYC, Brooklyn. They’ve produced a variety of artworks ranging from browser plugins to trainers.
MSCHF focuses on viral products and new drops as their app is designed to focus on this aspect and send notifications when new releases are launched.
They release a drop exactly every two weeks and the Big Red Boots are their latest upcoming drop as the boots aren’t available to the public yet and release Thursday, February 16 for $350 USD.
The Big Red Boots are no doubt an eye-catcher but the viral TikTok below suggests they may not be the easiest piece of footwear to slip on and off.

MSCHF’s Big Red Boots aren’t the only outrageous new look to be spotted on a public figure as Lil Durk’s new JW Anderson Skateboard sweatshirt from their Spring/Summer 2023 collection is worth having a second glance at.
The US rapper attended the Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks NBA game on Thursday, February 9, and pulled up in a grey sweatshirt with a broken skateboard deck with wheels sticking out of the chest.
JW Anderson are known for crafting weirdly-good clothing and accessories and the latest from the luxury label’s new 2023 collection isn’t like anything I’ve seen before.
While the internet will undoubtedly have a lot to say about these two new viral looks – whether its love-it or hate-it, for me both the Big Red Boots and skateboard sweatshirt are straight up hilarious.
