Nike‘s Air Max line-up has been capturing the hearts of trainer lovers since 1987, they are one of Nike’s oldest trainer collections and a significant aspect to the success of the company.
Everyone has their favourite type of Air Max. For me I prefer the designs of the Air Max 95 and 97, with the classic Air Max 90 getting a well deserved honourable mention.
Only recently, the Air Max 95 has risen greatly in popularity, especially in London. The price range of the popular Air Max 95 OG “Neon” has also increased significantly on resale sites.
Recently, grime star Skepta, took to Instagram to share one of his top 5 trainers of all time, the Nike Air Max 95 Greedy 3.0.
It’s difficult to know what exactly inspired this resurgence of the Air Max 95. It could of been from Skepta’s declaration of love for the Air Max or it could just be one of those things.
It’s clear to us that the 95s are creeping back into the spotlight and it seems fitting that we now also have a look at the brand new Nike Air Max 95 “Anatomy of Air.”
Taking inspiration from the anatomy of the human being, the “Anatomy of Air” features a colour scheme that’s to resemble tissue layers, muscle fibers, flesh, and bone.
The nature of this inspiration might sound slightly icky, however we can see that this is a subtly vibrant trainer which would be perfect for the summer months and could even be one for the history books.
No release date has been announced as of yet, but Nike don’t often take a literal approach to their designs like this one, which makes the Nike Air Max 95 “Anatomy of Air” collection a special one.
