Comme des Garçons Homme Plus is one of CDG’s diffusion labels. It is definitley one of the more successful labels and often collaborates with other big brands. Most notably, Nike. For Autumn/Winter 2022 Rei Kawakubo, the designer behind CDG, has reimagined the iconic Air Max 97. The CDG Homme Plus runway show happened this week and all eyes were on the shoes. 

We saw two pairs of Air Max’s in a blue colourway and a black colourway on leather overlays and mesh underlays. Further details include premium woven/mesh shoelaces. The black sneaker is given a weathered looking texture. The black laces and matching midsole finish off the sharp, monochromatic look. 

Sitting on the opposite end of the spectrum is a pale blue colorway. It does feature the same worn away texture but due to the lighter colour the effect is less intense. This colour will be perfect for the warmer months.
