Archive Spotlight: The Stone Island Printed Heat Reactive Themosensitive Fabric Collection | The Hoxton Trend

In 2019, Stone Island introduced its innovative Printed Heat Reactive Thermosensitive Fabric collection, distinguished by its use of novel materials and the distinctive black and white badge. This collection featured two outerwear pieces and a pair of trousers, all adorned with blue and red camouflage-inspired prints that shift color with temperature changes.

The collection incorporated signature military-inspired details, including a detachable hood on the parka and a versatile two-in-one jacket that can be converted into a vest.

The tapered-fit trousers are designed with diagonal front pockets, elastic webbing at the back, and ribbed side inserts. Constructed from cotton ripstop, the entire range boasts high waterproof capabilities, ensuring both functionality and durability.

The collection is now regarded as a serious collector’s item. While many consider these pieces impractical for everyday wear, they are valued as exemplars of innovative design. These items are rare and typically sought after through collector groups like our 17K buy and sell community Facebook Group or occasionally found on marketplaces such as eBay.
