Was The Trip To Stone Island Oulet Bicester Village Worth It? | The Hoxton Trend

Stone Island Drops Extra 30% OFF Sales Prices

Today, we made our way over to the famous Bicester Village outlet located near Oxford, around a 45 min train ride from London, to check out a Boxing Day promotional offer that had caught our eye on our facebook group community.. Again a big shoutout to our amazing 17,000-member buy-and-sell Facebook group community for the heads-up, one of our members posted the promotion for all of us to see! Honestly, if you’re not already part of it, you’re missing out—it’s a brilliant place to buy, sell, and stay connected with events like this. Our community always seems to have the best lowdown on what’s happening in the scene. Armed with the tip-off, I headed down to see what it was all about and, of course, create some fresh content for our followers and community members. After all, sharing is caring, as they say.

The Christmas Charm of Bicester Village

One thing about Bicester Village during Christmas is that they always manage to capture the festive vibes and holiday spirit perfectly. The twinkling lights, cheerful decorations, and overall atmosphere make it a delightful destination to visit with friends and family. Whether you’re there for a bit of window shopping or looking to grab a few pieces, the experience feels special.

That said, many in our community—and I agree—feel that the prices at Bicester don’t seem as competitive as in previous years. The sharp rise in retail prices over the last few years has made the discounts less appealing. However, there are still some gems to be found. Stores like Belstaff, Paul Smith, and The North Face offer reasonable prices on quality items. On the other hand, larger luxury brands like Moncler, Gucci, Prada, and Off-White remain on the pricier side, making them less tempting for those looking for a true bargain.

When it comes to food options, Bicester Village doesn’t quite hit the mark. I always make sure to eat before heading there and prefer to grab a meal back in London afterward. A £12 salad at Pret just doesn’t do it for me. Expanding their dining options could really enhance the overall experience.

Despite this, Bicester Village remains one of the better outlets in the UK for fashion and accessories. The staff, including security, are consistently friendly, and the environment feels safe and welcoming. While the prices may not always impress, the charm and festive spirit of Bicester Village during Christmas make it a worthwhile visit.

We Need to Talk About Outlet Only Items

I noticed a trend among many of the shops: a significant portion of their stock seemed to be outlet-exclusive items. One store that stood out was Burberry. I spotted jackets that weren’t part of their main collections—neither in-store nor online—but rather simplified, dressed-down versions of their iconic designs. Even the jacket I was wearing, purchased from a mainline store, had a “reduced version” available in the outlet.

It struck me that these outlet-only items might be part of Burberry’s strategy to navigate recent struggles, doubling down on more affordable pieces to drive sales. While I can see the appeal for some shoppers, personally, I’m not sold. For me, the prices don’t reflect the value of these no-frills versions. That said, there’s clearly a clientele that appreciates the accessibility of these designs, and I respect that. My goal here is simply to share my observations and help others make informed choices. After all, luxury means different things to different people, and it’s all about finding what works for you.

WHAT SHOPS CAN I FIND AT BICESTER VILLAGE OUTLET

After spending some time browsing the Stone Island Outlet, I left and later found myself at the Moncler store. It turns out, as I overheard earlier, they were also offering an extra 50% off sale items, which is quite unusual for Moncler to do. I’ve never seen Moncler do sales like this before, so it was definitely an interesting sight further highlighting how tough the retail market is at the moment for luxury brands. With Moncler now owning Stone Island and offering similar discounts, it seems like they were trying to clear out some hard to shift inventory as quickly as possible.

After leaving the Moncler Store in Bicester I walked past the Palm Angels outlet and I couldn’t help but recall that our Facebook community had mentioned the brand had lost some of its appeal I also noticed that their outlet wasn’t drawing in as many shoppers to their store something I noticed on my last visit. It’s a tough time for fashion brands currently, especially since they’ve increased prices substantially over the last few years. I think the cost of living, along with these price hikes hasn’t helped luxury retail overall.

I have covered lots of videos on the types of designer brands & stores you can find in at Bicester Village Outlet like the Burberry outlet, Canada Goose outlet, Moncler outlet, Gucci outlet, Prada, Off-White and many others you can find these all on our youtube channel so you can get that pre-shopping experiance before you head down to see what it’s actually like,

The Stone Island Experience: A Warm Welcome

When I arrived at the Stone Island outlet, a small queue of eager fans had already formed, but it moved quickly, and I was inside within six minutes. The security team was polite—a simple touch that makes a big difference—and the staff, as always, were friendly and approachable. To be fair, the Bicester Village team consistently delivers great service, which is more than I can say for the flagship store… but you didn’t hear that from me cough cough.

I had a chat with the manager, who greeted me with her usual warm smile. She mentioned that sales announcements are often last-minute, leaving the team scrambling to prepare. It seems the extra 30% discount is more of a quiet perk than a headline-grabber—Stone Island, like many luxury brands, prefers to keep discounts subtle. After all, shouting about sales can undermine the exclusivity that’s so central to their image.

Insights from the Manager: Sales, Colours, and Crowds

The manager also shared that the outlet had been packed the day before, with massive queues. Unsurprisingly, black and navy items weren’t included in the sale. Those colours are always in high demand—how many times have I been asked for something in black or blue? Honestly, there are other colours in the world, people! Lols.

The discounts, however, were impressive: an extra 30% off, bringing the total markdown to about 66% of the RRP. And let’s be real, those RRPs are like Mount Everest—steep doesn’t even begin to cover it. The manager asked me to be kind, and fair’s fair—they’re doing a great job keeping things running smoothly under pressure.
