Coming out of hiding, the iconic ‘Hidden Jersey’ of AC Milan and their successful 1995/96 Serie A season is being reworked with the help of Slam Jam following another successful league winning season from AC Milan.
Despite reaching a level of being an icon and fan favourite, the original ‘Hidden Jersey’ which was AC Milan’s fourth kit for the 1995/96 season, was only ever worn by AC Milan in two friendlies during the summer of 1995.
The first being a 2-1 victory against Standard Liége, with Liberian Striker George Weah and Italian midfielder Demetrio Albertini both scoring. Weah also found the net a few days later in the second game which saw Milan lose to Benfica.
Despite it’s limited exposure to the world, the kit rapidly became iconic and the players and fanbase loved it from the off.
To celebrate football culture and the new trend of merging football and fashion together, Slam Jam have remastered the ‘Hidden Jersey’ and it initially launched Saturday 25 June at a Slam Jam pop-up store in Paris and has since released on the Slam Jam website.
The new reworked ‘Hidden Jersey’ features a Slam Jam logo print on the back of the jersey and a re-invented Rossoneri devil illustration on the front, which I;m sure will remind many Milan fans of some legendary moments.
It’s crafted with inherently nineties materials that don’t cling to the body or hang too much. The jersey also consists of a contrasting blue colour throughout which is met with pleasing splashes of white and red on the collar.
This collaborative take on Milan’s iconic jersey is a sign of appreciation and fondness for the Italian side from Slam Jam founder, Luca Benini. The jersey retails for £52 from Slam Jam and can be found just below.

The reworked ‘Hidden Jersey’ will also feature in EA Sports FIFA 22, with the possibility to redeem and use it in Ultimate Team mode.
Donning a football jersey to an everyday occasion has gradually been considered the new normal, while I’m yet to find a jersey I’d actually be enthusiastic about wearing everyday – this new Slam Jam AC Milan jersey might just be the one in my opinion.
