Luxury brand collaborations are continuing in 2022, and we are starting this year off with Prada X adidas. The two brands begun their partnership back in 2019 and this collection will be their third together. The Re-Nylon collection includes ready-to-wear apparel and footwear.
The footwear part features two silhouettes and two colourways, the Forum Hi and Low sneakers come in ‘Triple Black’ and ‘Triple White’. The shoes were first seen back in September when A$AP Rocky was spotted wearing a pair on Instagram. The Forum marks the third adidas shoe that Prada has worked on. The first being the Superstar and the second the Luna Rossa 21.
Prada branding is found on the tongue while the adidas logo is debossed on the midsoles. And it’s not hard to see the detachable pouch on each sneaker that pays homage to the Italian brands signature nylon bag.
On the Prada website they say: “Both brands pursue a shared dedication to sustainable development with the use of Re-Nylon, a groundbreaking material created through the recycling of plastic waste collected from oceans, fishing nets, and textile fibre waste which can be purified and recycled indefinitely, with no loss of quality.”
Prada and adidas haven’t announced an official release date for the collection yet but expect it to come in the next few weeks. In the meantime, head over to the adidas sale where you can get up to 50% off selected items.
