Nike are launching a sustainable version of its most famous silhouette – the Air Force 1 Next Nature in crisp and clean white with a hint of naturual cork.
Bruce Kilgore’s 41 year-old AF1 silhouette has spent years being reworked and collaborated with and the Swoosh label have gone for a more sustainable approach for the unique Air Force 1 Low Next Nature White Cork that launches from BSTN Saturday, April 22.
The latest AF1 silhouette has been crafted with a pure white canvas base with a basket weave-style pattern featured on the tow box and mid-panels.
The standout detail of the new AF1 is the heel tabs that have been made from cork in It’s aesthetically pleasing naturual brown colour. It’s leather overlays is where the usual Nike Swoosh details are placed along the medial and lateral mid-panels.
Nike’s sustainable efforts with the AF1 Low Next Nature White Cork are made clear with the inclusion of Nike‘s Pinwheel logo on the cork insoles – signaling that the silhouette is part of Nike “Move to Zero” campaign.
The sustainable trainers in classic AF1 crisp white will launch from BSTN this Saturday, April 22 at 8:00am for £114.99.
