Maison Margiela and Reebok have collaborated in the past when they dropped the tabi-toed classic leathers and cut-up high tops. They’re partnering up again to take the Reebok Classic Leather into the world of high fashion, avant-garde.
Similar to the cut-up high tops these Classic Leathers have been deconstructed, using a technique that the fashion house dups ‘decortique’ which is French for shelled, like how you might remove seafood or produce from its shell or pod.
The sneakers are barely recognisable as classic Reeboks as huge panels have been cut out of the uppers leaving behind a see-through window. These sneakers are avaible in black, white and red as well as an unusual, yet classic Margiela, version that has been hand painted white that will eventually crack over time.
Take a look below at the images and let us know your thoughts over on our social media. The sneakers will be available January 28th from Maison Margiela and Reebok stores. Keep checking our launches page as its the first place to inform you of any new drops and releases.
