Following the unveiling of the new Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 trainers last week, our first on-foot look at the new design has come from none other than the most in-form striker currently in the Premier League, Erling Haaland.

The collaboration between the NYC jeweler and Nike has been dubbed trainers of the year and the original Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 1837 trainers in all black released yesterday (March 7) on Nike SNKRS – well done to whoever managed to cop a pair.

GQ reported that there was a 9,900% spike in searches for the collaborative trainers only hours after Tiffany unveiled the silhouette. This combined with the fact there was only a limited amount produced, getting a pair was always slim and they expectedly sold out within minutes.

However, streetwear fans around the world are optimistic the all black pair will not be the only drop. Erling Haaland took to Instagram to boast the rare Tiffany Blue AF1 trainers in a Tiffany Blue-toned leather upper and outsole with black details.

When images of the new luxury AF1‘s began circulating online last week, there were rumours the trainers would only be a friends and family release, meaning a global release was unlikely.

The goal scoring machine Haaland, who’s rumoured to be signing a new luxurious sponsorship with Nike, can not only be seen in the new Tiffany Blue AF1 silhouette, but he also sported one of the Nike x Tiffany bomber jackets that LeBron James previously wore

When considering his close connection with Nike, It’s left us wondering whether Haaland falls into the category of ‘family and friends’ and that maybe once some more high-profile figures receive their new Tiffany Blue AF1 trainers, maybe then we could expect a well deserved global release?

This has been one of the biggest collaborations in recent memory and it would make perfect sense to expand the link-up beyond one pair of trainers. When Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance bought in a huge amount of sales, they made the collab into an on-going partnership.

The original Tiffany & Co. x Nike AF1 received a variety of reviews but have generally been well received. If everything goes well, this collab may be the gift that keeps on giving.
