When it comes to digital fashion and the metaverse, Gucci has never shied away from it.

Starting with virtual footwear and online gardens in the Metaverse – the Italian fashion giants have just announced customers can soon pay with cryptocurrency at certain retail stores.

This means that products such as Gucci’s high-end footwear and bags can now be bought using up to 10 different crypto currencies, including Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Shiba inu, and Ethereum.

Due to start later this month, customers will be eligible to pay with crypto from stores such as Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles and Wooster Street In New York City.

Gucci becomes one of the growing number of companies that have started accepting virtual currencies for real physical goods.

This announcement comes one month after Off-White states they’ll be allowing customers to purchase products using crypto currencies in its London, Paris, and Milan flagship stores.

With this move from Gucci, it’s becoming clearer to see digital currencies becoming more globally accepted.
