Today we are back with a fake vs real video. As we are entering the colder months it is the perfect time to invest into a hoodie. Some of our faves include Palm Angels, DSquared2, Off White. The Palm Angels logo hoodies are a great addition to any outfit and the bold motifs on them will always stand out. However, there are many fakes online, so Hox is here to tell you how to spot a fake. PULL CORDS
The first thing you should look at is the pull cords on the hoodie. On a real Palm Angels hoodie, the pull cords will be very thick and heavy, the studs will also be engraved with the Palm Angels logo. However, the pull cords on a fake hoodie won’t be that good quality, and they will also not be engraved with the logo.
MATERIAL
A tell-tale sign of whether you have a fake or real hoodie is the material. A genuine Palm Angels hoodie will be very thick and almost heavy. The quality of a real designer item is obvious in this case. Hox notes that the fake hoodie is quite thin and much lighter than the genuine.
PRINT QUALITY
The actual quality of the graphic of the front of the hoodie is usually quite good on a fake, however there are a few things to look out for. The print on a fake hoodie is screen printed differently, so it will be flat to the hoodie. However, on the real hoodie, the motif will feel slightly 3D and raised. The print will also be perfect on a genuine garment, so if there is something wrong with the print, it is probably a fake!
CERTILOGO
The last thing to remember is genuine Palm Angels products will have a certilogo label! So if yours doesn’t have one then it is a fake.
