Every Fear of God x Adidas Trainer We’ve so Far Seen

Jerry Lorenzo’s kept his Fear of God fans just about satisfied with plenty of teasers for the upcoming Fear of God x Adidas collaboration. We thought now would be a better time than any to take a look at every shoe we’ve seen from the highly anticipated drop.

April 2023 saw Lorenzo take over the Hollywood Bowl to display his first Fear of God runway show – offering a look at the elevated sportswear we should expect from the upcoming Fear of God x Adidas collab that’s been dubbed Fear of God Athletics.

FOG Athletics seemingly blends sportswear with a luxe aesthetic. We’ve already seen a glimpse of upcoming leather gloves, track pants, duffle bags, and of course a variety of trainers…

First up is a trainer that was only seen being worn by Lorenzo’s wife Desiree Manuel whilst courtside at an NBA game back in May, but we’ve now got a much clearer look at the collaborative take on the classic Adidas Rivalry Low 86.

As seen above, the imagery unveils the Adidas 86-inspired design to boast an extra thick sole with a smooth grey suede for the upper – an aesthetic that has been hugely popular amongst trainers this season.

If you’re not much of a low-top trainer fan, a high-top version of the 86 FOG x Adidas shoe also made an appearance at the Hollywood Bowl runway show – finished with that familiar suede and elevated, co-branded sole.

Next up and seen below is an Adidas Forum-esque silhouette that also surfaced recently. Both a low-top and high-top design features a white leather upper with a few black details for a complimentary contrast. The Adidas Basketball logo adorns the tongue tabs, whilst FOG branding shimmers subtly on the Three-Stripes.

The next silhouette also arrives in the favoured high-top design, decorated in black and white with a variety of blended textures including mesh.

The most notable element of this sample is the placement of the Three-Stripes motif, which has taken its place on the toe box. This design has only been seen before on a pair of slides and apparel pieces from the Hollywood Bowl show.

Lorenzo sported the next pair at a basketball game (the same game his wife opted for the 86 Low-inspired shoe) and it’s fitting as this pair have already been dubbed Fear Of God‘s Adidas Two Basketball shoe and many are already labeling it the shoe of the collection.

Lorenzo sat courtside in a black and tonal cream colourway of the mid-top Two Basketball shoe. With limited images to examine, the upper seems to feature mesh underlays topped with what looks like plastic Three-Stripes detailing, sitting atop a thick translucent sole.

I hope you’re still wish us because this last design may be the best yet. It was one of the first to be posted online via Instagram to the Fear of God Athletics account and also made an appearance at FOG’s inaugural runway presentation.

The shoe arrives in another mid-top design with a soft suede fabric decorating the upper plus a rubberised sole unit and subtle Adidas Three-Stripes motif to the side, extending from the sole.

The all-white colourway has already been labelled a popular design, with many in the comments agreeing it’s the “best looking Adidas in a very very long time.”

All in all, that’s seven different silhouettes from the upcoming Fear of God Athletics collection and while you probably like the look of some but not the others, it’s best to just enjoy them for now as all of the designs may not even make the final cut and there’s almost definitely some unseen designs enroute.

Unfortunately, Fear of God and Adidas have both been fairly silent in terms of any type of official release date. But the duo have confirmed we should expect Fear of God Athletics to arrive some time in 2023.
