Luisaviaroma hosted the second edition of the winter gala event Luisaviaroma for UNICEF which featured a gala dinner, a live auction and special performances from Drake and Lenny Kravits.
The event was hosted by Luisa Panconesi, president of Luisaviaroma‘s Comitato Evento, Paolo Rozera, UNICEF Italia Executive Director and Tommaso Chiabra, Event Fundraising Chairman UNICEF Italia.
Held on Thursday 29 December in St Barth, many big names attended the night and helped raise more than 3 million euros via the auction to support UNICEF’s work in providing care and protection to vulnerable children around the world.
Many of these notable guests include Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Naomi Watts, Rita Ora, Taika Waititi, Luke Evans Billy Crudup, Bob Sinclair and many more.
Of course the biggest highlight of the evening was live performances from four time Grammy® winner Lenny Kravits and the artist who needs no introduction in this day and age – Drake.
The two of them delivered a killer performance when they took to the stage separately. Drake even brought out a popular surprise guest – Central Cee. You can find images of the performance below.
The live auction, which helped raise the majority of the funds for UNICEF, included a variety of art pieces, one-of-a-kind luxury items and experiences.
Some of these unique auctioned items included Steve McQueen’s own 1961 Formula junior race car, a unique experience under the Northern lights of the Artic with polar explorer Johan Ernst Nilson and an AI Data Sculpture which is the largest neurotherapeutic AI date sculpture.
Luisa Panconesi had this to say about the event: “The collaboration between Luisaviaroma and UNICEF throughout these five years proved that coming together for solidarity really makes the difference in the life of many children around the world.”
