AS Roma wasted no time in releasing their 22/23 home kit at the end of last season and as New Balance have only just dropped the new Roma 22/23 away kit, maybe they’ve been saving the best to last with the new away kit which takes inspiration from Rome’s New-classical period.
New Balance have been busy designing a selection of New Balance football kits for some top tier European clubs and the average price of a brand new New Balance jersey is only £65 – slightly cheaper than it’s Nike and Adidas neighbours.
The new away kit features an all-new crisp white colour scheme which made its debut during a convincing 5-0 victory over Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk during a pre-season friendly on Sunday 7 August.
The new away jersey takes inspiration from the neutral tones of Rome’s famous architecture providing the backdrop to the design. AS Roma‘s iconic wolf symbol “Lupetto” is also featured in a delicate graphic tonal marbling effect integrated into the front of the jersey.
The away shirt also features subtle red and yellow trims which pays homage to the iconic colours of the Giallorossi on the collar, sleeves, shorts, and socks.
Similar to the classical looking red home shirt, the words “Figli di Roma” which translates to “sons of Roma” is placed on the back of the neck to show tribute to the bond between the city and fans.
With some huge new signings such as Paulo Dybala from Juventus, the New Balance AS Roma kits are a must this season and the new away kit will be available to cop from the New Balance webstore soon.
New Balance have also been busy working on upcoming and already released kits for the 22/23 season for clubs such as French side Lille LOSC, Portuguese giants FC Porto and Spanish team Athletic Bilbao – which can all be found below.
