The latest tease from Stone Island has finally given a clear look at its next collaboration with New Balance, with the Furon V8 taking centre stage.

When Dave appeared at the 2025 Santan Cup earlier this year, the crowd didn’t just focus on the performance they noticed the boots. It served as the first quiet signal that the sequel to Stone Island and New Balance’s 2022 football collaboration (fronted then by Raheem Sterling) was approaching. The hint came in the form of a new interpretation of the Furon V8, finished in olive tones and positioned at the intersection of terrace culture and on-pitch performance. Stone Island has now confirmed that a full collection is on the way, pairing the updated Furon V8 with a matching on-pitch kit built around the brand’s signature blend of engineered precision and utilitarian design.

The Furon V8 arrives in a tonal olive palette that feels directly connected to Stone Island’s archival sensibilities. Half of the outsole is coated in a metallic silver with a mirror-like sheen, echoing the brand’s long-running exploration of surface treatments and material manipulation. The Hypoknit upper is reinforced with a matte polyurethane overlay, carrying a subtle ripstop texture and 3D-printed tonal branding for a layered, technical aesthetic.

Functional detailing is executed with equal intent. Offset lacing provides structured lockdown, while the Speed Ctrl Stud system supports sharper directional changes. The split-finish soleplate matte at the forefoot and chrome-electroplated at the heel continues the contrast theme. Reflective yarns, a woven heel tab, and dual lace sets with co-branded aglets all reinforce Stone Island’s focus on performance through precision. These are the same boots Bukayo Saka wore for England in June, and the design reads just as considered up close.

The apparel drop sits alongside the boots: a jersey, shorts, and socks in the same khaki-driven palette. It avoids overt camouflage cues and instead uses texture, weave, and tonal variation to create depth. The polyester jacquard construction incorporates engineered mesh for ventilation, while bonded seams and taped edges maintain a clean, utilitarian finish.

Details remain understated but elevated. The Stone Island laurel wreath crest is presented tone-on-tone, with a subtle sponsor graphic and raised ripstop logos that mirror the boot’s construction language. Reflective elements shift under direct light, and tonal embroidery completes the kit’s cohesive look.

The Stone Island x New Balance Furon V8 collection lands soon. Stay tuned for release details.
