With the spotlight on workwear fashion and a year since their first collab, Carhartt WIP has just revealed their reworked New Balance 990v6 trainer in a classic Carhartt beige colourway.
It’s been a year since Carhartt WIP x New Balance first linked up for the neutral 990v1 trainers and fresh off the back from last month’s very first collab with Palace, Carhartt is truly at the forefront of modern fashion, with the help from its WIP division.
The brand’s recent collaborations have proven to be a success, with online search data indicating a 16% interest increase in the past three months. Carhartt’s WIP line allows it to slightly depart from the traditional workwear attire associated with its parent company, injecting a more fashion-forward flair into its collections.
Continuing to make waves in the fashion world by collaborating once more with New Balance, the duo’s new design is titled “Sculpture Center” and showcases a classic NB silhouette with a slightly chunky style in a very versatile colourway.Â
Priced at £200 and arriving Friday, 20 October – we predict the 990v6 “Sculpture Center” will be a difficult shoe to cop, especially if its anything like the duo’s previous 990v1 collab that launched September 2022 and sold out in mere moments.
The success of their previous 990v1 collaboration demonstrated the demand for workwear x sportswear partnerships. Paying homage to Carhartt WIP‘s heritage, this new pair features the brand’s classic Hamilton Brown shade, predominantly found on Carhartt’s duck canvas workwear.Â
