The acceptance of digital currencies and crypto as payments has been quickly accepted by a lot of people in the world, although the fashion industry have been relatively slow to adapt.

In 2021, German fashion designer and founder of the Philipp Plein International Group – Philip Plein, was one of the first major fashion brands to accept cryptocurrencies.

Earlier in April, Off-White also announced it would start accepting cryptocurrency payments across stores in Paris, Milan, and London.

Off-White has also reportedly partnered with Lunu, who are a Berlin-based payment provider that also facilitate digital payments for companies such as Farfetch, Browns and the Chalhoub Group.

In-store payments are made using a sleek looking terminal, with a glass chrome exterior which makes it possible to use cryptos at the point-of-sale in retail purchases.

These transactions are no more hassle or time-consuming than a regular credit card transaction.

Crypto Emporium is one of the rare marketplaces which allows shoppers to buy fashion brands with cryptocurrency.

With the ever evolving crypto economy, Crypto Emporium gives shoppers the choice to use digital currencies without the volatility of local exchange rates.

The majority of the world has started becoming familiar with digital currencies and crypto payments, so it’s a positive sign to see fashion retailers and brands beginning to do the same.

Fashion as we know it isn’t going anywhere, and it seems neither is digital currencies or crypto, so it’s a healthy sign to see some retailers and brands beginning to get on-board.
