Lionel Messi isn’t the only one feeling the ire of extreme PSG fans as fellow teammate Neymar, had angry fans stationed outside of his home yesterday on Wednesday, May 3 as they demanded the Brazilian superstar leaves their club.
Messi’s fall out with the PSG fans came one day after the World Cup winner was suspended for two weeks without pay for an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia.
Messi‘s future after the 22/23 season has been a hot topic this year and following recent reports from Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Messi has made it clear to PSG that he does not plan to extend his expiring contract with the Parisian club at the end of the season.
The timing of Messi’s plans and his two week suspension couldn’t of come at a poorer time as heated PSG fans have been seen protesting outside the club’s headquarters, chanting the French understanding of “Messi, son of a b*tch).

Messi isn’t the only one feeling the raft of PSG fans as Neymar wrote “They’ve just left my door” on social media yesterday after crowds of angry fans stationed themselves outside of his home and demand he leaves the club this summer.
Neymar has been the target of disillusioned PSG fans, who are unsatisfied at the lack of progress on the pitch. The 31-year-old hasn’t played for PSG since February when he sustained an injury in a 4-3 victory over Lille.
In a statement, PSG announced: “Paris Saint-Germain most strongly condemns the intolerable and insulting actions of a small group of individuals that took place on Wednesday. Whatever the differences of opinions, nothing justifies such actions.”

Where did it all go wrong for this legendary, star-studded PSG team everyone was so excited to see play?
Despite the occasional loses against Lorient, Lyon, and Rennes, PSG are still five-points clear over Marseille at the top of Ligue 1. However, it’s the clubs consistently underwhelming Champions League campaigns that’s most likely the main ingredient that’s gotten a portion of their fans so riled up.
As reported by Mirror Football, It’s understood that PSG will implement a change in approach once this season concludes, with the new strategy prioritising the signing of young French players and developing home-grown talents in the academy.
While Neymar’s contract at PSG doesn’t end until 2025, an exit for Messi is looking a lot easier with his contract finishing at the end of the season and many clubs such as Manchester City, Inter Miami CF, Al-Hilal and current favoruites Barcelona, all expressing their desires to sign the renowned GOAT.
