Since it was established in 1982, Stone Island has worked up a reputation for being known for its technical wear due to its unique fabrics and special dying techniques.

Stone Island also love to celebrate any occasion they can and treat their customers to frequent new releases and drops.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Stone Island goes deep into its archives to create an exclusive special edition anorak.

For the new special edition anorak, Stone Island dove into their archives and created a replica of the Raso Gommato Coloured Cover anorak,  all the way from the 1984 Spring/Summer season.

The modern anorak displays the iconic Stone Island Compass Patch on the bottom of the front and you can see the Stone Island Marina print on the left sleeve.

As of now, the new Stone Island piece is only available via the Stone Island website or stores.

Made using a dandelion yellow shade, the new piece has been garment-dyed with a perfluorocarbons-free anti-drop agent.

It also consists of 100% organic cotton and special polymers.

The well known fabric of the Stone Island aesthetic, Raso Gommato, has been made in a variety of variations over the last 40 years.

The wind-resistant polyurethane film, bonded to a cotton satin, is interpreted to obtain targeted aspects through specific dyeing recipes on the finished garment.

Head over to Stone Island to check out the new 4oth anniversary special edition Raso Gommato Cover Colourato Bio Anorak.
