New Balance are in no short demand so far in 2022. The popular 550s’ are difficult to find still in stock and the collaborative New Balance x Amié Leon Dore are following in their footsteps and selling out fast.

First released in 1989 as part of New Balances Basketball range, the 550s were the breakout trainer of 2021 and they haven’t slowed down in 2022.

The 550s were locked in the New Balance archives for decades until recently when it was brought back into the spotlight following a hyped collaboration with Teddy Santis’s Amié Leon Dore.

A little further back in 2020, Amié Leon Dore partnered up with New Balance for a Fall/Winter 2020 collection centered around basketball culture.

As a part of this collection, four colourways of the New Balance 550s’ were released.
