1.  Style

Depending on your personal style you might order these 5 jackets differently. But we have considered which jackets are more likely to go with different outfits and, which jacket is the most timeless and will always be on trend.

Starting at number 1 is the Moncler Ecrins. We think this ranks the highest in terms of style as it is a seasonal staple. A puffer jacket will always be on trend and the black colour ensures it will match any outfit.

Next is the Canada Goose Crofton. This is very similar to the Ecrins but is slightly more fitted. We have also chosen this in the navy colour way which will still pair well with many outfits.

At number 3 is the Stone Island Panama Bomber. It features more of a dull, matte fabric than the previous two but the way the jacket fits ensures it will dress up any outfit.

The Moose Knuckles Ballistic Bomber comes in at number 4. A bomber style jacket will always be timeless, and with a detachable fur trim you are essentially getting two jackets in one.

Finally, is the Parajumpers Gobi Jacket. This is a very common winter jacket and pairs well with any outfit. And the dark green colour stands out in comparison to the other 4 jackets.

2.  Protection

All of these jackets offer some form of protection against the elements, such as extreme weather conditions. It’s also good to know whether the jackets are water repellant, water resistant or water proof, or down filled.

The Canada Goose Crofton Puffer, has a down filled hood which adds warmth and element protection. The puffer is also wind resistant, water repellent, down proof and is made with ripstop fabric.

The Moose Knuckles Bomber is specifically tailored and engineered to endure the extreme cold. It is also made with a water repellent cotton and nylon blend.

The Stone Island Bomber is resin coated and made with light Watro materials that make it wind and water resistant. The funnel neck also helps to protect against the elements.

The Parajumpers Gobi Jacket is made with a windproof fabric. It has also been given a water repellent treatment. It also has a down-proof construction.

The Moncler Ecrins is quilted with down padding for maximum warmth. And the hood with an elastic drawcord also helps to protect against the wind.

3. Price

All of the jackets are in the £800 – £900 price range. However, right now there are sales on at Flannels and Aphrodite so you can save on Stone Island and Parajumpers.

Plus we have an exclusive discount code at Woodhouse – WHAF23HOXT – where you can get 23% off Moose Knuckles and more.

We also have an exclusive code for Sevenstore – THT15 – where you can get 15% off  Moncler.

With all of the added discounts the Parajumpers jacket is the cheapest at £587, followed by Moose Knuckles, then Stone Island, next is the Canada Goose and finally at £845 is the Moncler jacket.

4. Resale value

At The Hoxton Trend, we know that resale value is very important to our readers as you want to know how much you can make if you decide to sell your jacket on a resell site such as StockX or eBay.

Good news, we found 4 out of the 5 jackets on resell site eBay. The jacket with the lowest resale value was the Parajumpers Gobi Jacket which was selling for, between £140 and £300.

Next was the Moose Knuckles Ballistic Bomber which was selling on eBay for £500 – £680.

The Canada Goose Crofton Puffer was selling for £500 – £800.

And the Moncler Ecrins was on eBay for anything between £550 – £890.

Unfortunately we couldn’t find the Stone Island Panama Bomber on either eBay or StockX.
