Tory Lanez is a powerhouse when it comes to the US music scene, with fans regularly comparing him to the likes of other artists including fellow Canadian ‘Toosie Slide’ superstar, Drake. Tory Lanez kickstarted his career in the music industry when he lived in South Florida. Lanez was directing some of his own music videos an uploading them to YouTube which soon became popular on the well known platform. A few years later, he began to make beats of his own, and finally released his mixtape ‘Conflicts Of The Soul: The 416 Story’. The mixtape was debuted in August of 2013, ever since it’s release, Lanez has been climbing up the competition ladder within the scene. In 2017, Tory Lanez won the ‘Rap Recording Of The Year’ Juno Award for his single ‘Shooters’. He won the award for a second time just two years later in 2019, for his single ‘Love Me Now?’.

The star has worked with a number of hit artists throughout his career so far, including Justin Bieber, Rick The Kid and T-Pain. In 2010, before he began gaining recognition for his own music, Lanez was contacted by Sean Kingston – famous for ‘Beautiful Girls’ (a now ten year old track which has a staggering 565 million views on YouTube). Kingston signed a record deal with Lanez with his record label ‘Time Is Money Entertainment’. When he was signed to the label, the artist released various mixtapes including ‘Mr Peterson’, ‘Chixtape’ and ‘Swavey’. After the release of ‘Swavey’, Lanez left the record label to become and independent artists and began working on a collection of new music.

The artist is known for tracks including ‘Who Needs Love’ which has over 7 million views on YouTube, ‘Temperature Rising’ which also has another 7.1 million views on YouTube and ‘Do The Most’ with over 5 million views. The artist has been working on new material over the first half of this year, including his latest mixtape.

Earlier this year, Tory Lanez released one of his latest singles called ‘Stupid Again’ on 9^th April. The single was part of one of his latest mixtapes called ‘The New Toronto 3’. ‘Stupid Again’ proved to be one of the artists most popular tracks to feature on the mixtape, so to no surprise the artist soon followed it up with the official music video. The video for ‘Stupid Again’ was recently released on 18^th June, available to view on YouTube. The video has already racked up 2 million views on the platform after just four days. There is no doubt that this number will continue to rise like other official videos from the artist.
