5. Vapormax 97 – All Black

When comparing these to the Vapormax Plus which have also been released in an all black colour-way, these are 100% more understated and visually appealing. Due to a sleek leather upper, this silhouette is one that we personally wouldn’t buy, but certain sneakerheads could certainly pull these off. One thing that hindered this pairs chance in the Hoxton Trend sneaker stakes was the bulky sole, we did have mixed feelings.

4. Air Vapormax Plus – Re-tuned Air Blue

Taking the design from a 90s classic, we loved the vibrant but subtle blue colour-way of the Air Vapormax Plus, again the only thing that let us down was the amount of Vapormax sole throughout the list of releases.

3. Air Max 93 – Black/Dusty Cactus

With the current streetwear resurgence, we feel as though now is the ideal time to give the iconic Air Max 93 a revamp. We really liked the understated colour-way and the way it complements the air bubble sole unit. Again, not all of our team would buy into these, but agree that the style deserves a place in our top 5.

2. Air Max 180 –Ultramarine

A pair of trainers that will definitely turn heads, especially in the summer when paired with shorts and a casual tee. The Air Max 180 holds a nice colour contrast, with bold hues that cross well between each other. Similarly to the Air Max 93, we are feeling those old school vibes with this release.

1. Air Max 1/ 97 SW

Our number one has got to be the Sean Wotherspoon hybrid, which is now selling on eBay for over £400 on some listings! The hybrid combines the best elements of the Air Max 1 and Air Max 97, and along with a vintage looking corduroy upper to give that ‘worn’ feel. The colours that have been thrown into the mix with this silhouette shockingly match, and add to the versatility of the trainer, which is so visually appealing, which is why it made our number 1!
