Luxury Italian brand Stone Island has collaborated with Japanese accessories label Porter Yoshida and Co. The two brands have come together to create a capsule collection consisting of a range of bags. The two brands have previously collaborated back in February 2019 on a bag collection focused on “Man Made Suede” bags. The collection was such a success that they planned to collaborate once again, and as the two brands complement each other so well it is expected this collection will also be a success.
Stone Island is one of our favourite brands here at The Hoxton Trend, and a brand we couldn’t recommend enough. The Italian luxury apparel brand which is instantly recognisable from its compass patch that buttons onto items of clothing, was originally just a diffusion brand of CP Company, both of which were founded by Massimo Osti. Now run by Carlo Rivetti, Stone Island continues to specialise in surface treatment of fabrics and dying techniques. Yoshida and Co which was founded in 1935 is a Japanese manufacturer label based in Tokyo. They are known to design and produces accessories (mainly bags) however, the company is also known as Porter which is one of its brands of luggage. The company first gained popularity in the 80’s among young people in Japan, the brands hype surrounded their wallets, bags and backpacks.
The newest capsule collection sees a range of bags including a pouch bag, backpack and tote bag. All items are available in two different colour ways, a vibrant turquoise and classic black. The products all feature both the Stone Island patch as well as the Porter logo so you can publicly sport the brands. The bags are made from Reflective Weave Ripstop-TC which is woven with a thin highly reflective tape, obtained through a resin bath that incorporates thousands of glass microspheres. This capsule collection is definitely one that you need to get your hands on!
