Take a Look At The Second Adidas x Gucci Drop & The Exclusive ‘Sneaker Trunk’

Here to prove you can’t have too much of a good thing, Adidas x Gucci is back again to launch its second collaborative drop that mostly focuses on footwear, plus a special “sneaker trunk” that arrives filled to the rim with Adidas x Gucci trainers.

First launched in 2022, the second Adidas x Gucci drop reveals a luxury Gucci twist on new pairs of Gazelles, ZX800 trainers and Adilette slides.

Launching from the Gucci store and Adidas CONFIRMED app, the second installment of this collab launched from late March to April 1. As expected, pairs sold our rapidly but there’s still good news as a second drop has been confirmed to launch from Adidas CONFIRMED.

Seen in the gallery above, the new footwear arrives in true Gucci style with Gucci emblems decorating the upper of the Gazelles and different bright and bold colourways can also be seen as well as some contrasting subtle tones.

Priced at £750, a second launch has been confirmed for the Adidas x Gucci ZX8000 trainers on Wednesday, April 12 at 9:00am from the Adidas CONFIRMED app.

Costing £550, the Adidas x Gucci Gazelles have also been confirmed to return soon to the CONFIRMED app, but no official date has been announced yet.

The rest of the Adidas x Gucci second collaboration includes some ready-to-wear apparel pieces, plenty of accessories, but what struck me was the announcement of the exclusive “sneaker trunk.”

Created for its latest collection, the trunk arrives with 12 pairs of Adidas x Gucci Gazelles, including styles from both the first collection from 2022 and its recent collection.

Featuring an extractable footrest and a mirror on the lid, the trunk arrives in a blue colour scheme, with the dual Adidas x Gucci branding to the sides.

This special addition to the collection is only available from the Gucci website when you make a direct inquiry and comes with the luxury price tag of around £100,000.

With the second Adidas x Gucci collaboration coming only a year after the last one, perhaps this is a sign that this collection could be an annual thing and we should expect another one in 2024?
