Stone Island’s unique Ghost Piece collection was initially derived from the idea of camouflage, it’s known for its monochromatic colour palettes and slick design aesthetics, making it more distinctive than regular Stone Island collections.
The Italian menswear brand are renowned for breaking fashion boundaries when it comes to the future of menswear, and the Ghost Piece collection gives a subtle nod to the brands’ signature utilitarian style. Overall, the Ghost Piece range is a very chic, sleek looking range which differs slightly from the regular seasonal collections. One of the easiest ways to spot a Ghost Piece garment is the Stone Island badge, which alternatively carries a monochromatic colour palette compared to the classic green and gold logo in the badge’s centre.
As the new season gets into full swing, Stone Island have released their Ghost Piece Autumn Winter 2021 collection, this time featuring dark, earthy tones of brown and black. These neutral colours would create the perfect foundation for your winter wardrobe, making every piece within the collection a guaranteed investment. The Autumn Winter 2021 collection has a very minimal, practical design approach, and features a variety of outerwear, jumpers, knitwear, trousers and t-shirts. This season, the brand has focused on using nylon moleskin and cotton for lightweight pieces. Alternatively, for heavier outerwear pieces, garments are constructed using a detachable lining or down made in Stretch Wool 3 Layers – stretch wool flannel, a breathable water/windproof two-way stretch membrane cased in a run-proof nylon mesh.
Pieces within this collection are finished with chunky detailing, including oversized collars, buttons, chunky zips, large pockets and generally have boxy fits. The versatility of each piece within the new range makes the collection suitable for anyone, with any style – whether you’re into more streetwear heavy pieces or garments that look a little smarter, there’s something here for you.
Yet again, Stone Island have created a collection at the highest standard of technical menswear, whilst pulling off a more practical, almost formal look. If you’d like to browse the full collection, it is now available to purchase on the Stone Island website.
