30 years after its founding, Death Row Records announced on Thursday 29 December, that they are now entering the cannabis industry under new ownership Snoop Dogg.Â
The news was announced when a 22-second clip was posted on Instagram, showing a new metallic logo and music from longtime Snoop collaborator DJ Battlecat. The redesigned version of the Death Row Records’ logo shows the signature prisoner with his left hand freed, holding a joint (seen in the image above).
Products which are expected to be sold by Death Row Cannabis includes a cannabis flower, diamond-infused pre-rolls and limited-edition metallic bags featuring the revised Death Row logo.
Snoop told the Denver Post: “Since I’ve been at the forefront of this movement for over 20 years now, I’m a master of marijuana.” This is coming from the man who recently improved his personal weed roller’s annual salary of $40,000 to $50,000 USD due to “inflation.”
