Boy Better Known members Skepta and Jammer are set to launch their new house music-focused record label, Más Tiempo. The label will officially launch with performances from the pair and more during the launch party at London’s KOKO.

The two MCs aim to offer a platform to house music producers so they can drop new music on their own terms, away from the limitations that many record labels come with.

Skepta states that this new journey with Jammer will continue to represent “trendsetters, who break the mold and do things differently” – a statement Skepta has carried with him during his musical and professional journey that stretches more than two decades.

The name of the label, Más Tiempo is the Spanish translation of “more time.” The launch of the label will be official following the launch party at London’s legendary KOKO venue that will also feature performances from Skepta, Jammer, Benji B and DJ Maximum.

The launch party will also serve as a part of KOKO’s first birthday celebrations. The historic venue has existed in some form or another since 1900, but underwent a £70 million renovation and reopened its doors only last year.

Skepta hasn’t performed at London’s KOKO since the celebrations of his 2016 album Konnichiwa and it’ll also be his first London show since he headlined Wireless Festival in 2021.

With Skepta still running his label Big Smoke Records and the launch of his new Más Tiempo label, the 40-year-old rhymer could be showing signs of the type of executive/managerial role he’d like to play in the music scene, if and when he decides to eventually put down the mic.

Of course the North London MC also has his fashion career going strong, after being named as one of the British celebrities to front one of Burberry’s recent campaign under Daniel Lee’s rebranding of the luxury label.

Skepta and Jammer also have an upcoming EP on the way – Mas Murder. We’ve already heard rumours that the two will perform a new single from the EP during launch night at KOKO.
