Trainer collector Sean Wotherspoon took to Instagram in October to announce the release of his exclusive collaboration with footwear giants Nike.

Known around the world for his collection of vintage apparel, Wotherspoon designed the Hybrid for the Vote Forward competition in 2017, and he won.

The silhouette, which was kept under wraps for months, fuses together elements of the classic Air Max 97 and Air Max 1, complete with a fresh multi colour-way, to create a hybrid silhouette of two iconic styles of Nike footwear.  The design is inspired by vintage corduroy caps and compiles Wotherspoon’s two favourite Nike trainers

The corduroy upper sits upon an Air Max 1 air bubble sole unit, with tonal laces and vibrant soles. The Nike swoosh logo has been worked into a smiley face which is shown on the heel.

The trainers will be available from 8:00 AM  on the 24^th March 2018 (two days before Air Max Day) and will be priced at £124.95 on Nike.com.
