After numerous delays, Drake’s new AF1 have finally got a release date of Thursday 8 December and you can enter the raffle for the exclusive trainers at SEVENSTORE by following any of the links.

We’ve taken a closer look at the finer details crafted into the design of the Drake x Nike Air Force 1s to understand why there’s been so much hype surrounding this shoe since its initial tease.

Boasting an all-white colour scheme, it’s easy to think that there’s nothing special about the NOCTA “Love You Forever” AF1 – but if you were thinking that, you’d be mistaken.

After pulling these out from the custom sky blue “Love You Forever” shoe box, the first thing you’d notice is the leather quality. Compared to the regular AF1, this silhouette features a much softer upper construction.

We all know the infamous toe box creasing that can often develop on a pair of well-worn AF1 trainers, but the softer fabrication just might do a good job at hiding this.

It’s the smaller details that really make these trainers special. On the lateral sides of both shoes is a “Love You Forever” stamp written in a script font. This is in place of the traditional “AIR” stamp and plays into the themes of Certified Lover Boy.

More little details include the grip pattern along the outsole, which now features subtle love hearts towards the toe. The heel of the right shoe features an embroidered NOCTA logo while the left maintains the traditional Nike branding.

Finishing of the new pair of AF1 is a unique set of blue beads with individual letters on them that can be applied to the laces to leave a message on your shoe.

So while these trainers may look like an ordinary pare of Air Force 1s from a certain point of view due to the similarities, those who know their stuff will definitely be able to appreciate the finer details.

Due to AF1s being a consistent top seller on StockX because resellers are buying out stock and the shoe’s prices have been significantly increasing the past few years, these are going to be a very sought after pair of kicks.

To be in with a chance to cop, follow the links to enter the raffle at SEVENSTORE – good luck!
