Quavo continues to honour Takeoff, revealing on Instagram the limited-edition Rocket Fairfax Hoodie in collaboration with the Legends brand and with all of the proceeds supporting Takeoff’s Rocket Foundation.

Takeoff, who was one third of the hip-hop trio from Atlanta, Migos, tragically passed away last year after a shooting took place in Houston, Texas.

Quavo, who is the uncle of Takeoff, unveiled a new hoodie by Legends that honours TakeOff. Retailing for $140 USD (roughly £112), all profits from the sales will be donated to Takeoff’s Rocket Foundation, which was established shortly after his passing.

The Rocket Hoodie has been produced by the Legends brand, a Los Angeles-based performance and lifestyle apparel brand that designs “elevated apparel built for the modern athlete.”

Arriving in an oversized fit and 100% cotton, the limited-edition hoodie features the Legends branding and the phrase “Strongest Link in the World” on the front. Meanwhile, the back and sleeves show Takeoff’s birth year in Roman numerals, infinity links insignias and the logo of Takeoff’s Rocket Foundation.

The Rocket Foundation is a charitable organisation that focuses on preventing violence and celebrating the life and legacy of Takeoff.

Quavo explained in his own words during a statement: “The Foundation’s mission is to invest in and elevate proven community violence interventions and positive alternatives for young people, and build a platform for influential leaders to fight against daily violence in our cities and neighbourhoods.

“The Rocket Foundation has made investments in four powerful initiatives: Community Justice Action Fund, Hope Hustlers, Live Free, and the Offenders Alumni Association. We believe these groups will help interrupt the cycle of violence in Atlanta and put young people on a positive trajectory.”

Earlier this week, the third and former member of Migos, Offset, honoured the life of Takeoff his own way with a touching new tattoo that he unveiled on Instagram – seen below.

In addition to the limited-edition hoodie, Quavo confirmed that all the contributions and proceeds of this years Huncho Day (April 29) will be donated to the foundation.

Huncho Day will see Quavo lead his Huncho team in a game of Touch Football against Jalen Ramsey’s Team Ramsey. The event will welcome some familiar names such as Ronnie2K, Gucci Mane, 2Chainz, Zio Clark, D’Andre Swift and many more.

The Legends x Quavo Forever Takeoff Hoodie is currently available in a “very limited run” from the Legends website, with all proceeds going towards the foundation.
