Palace and Gore-Tex Will Keep You Warm and Well Dressed for AUTUMN 2020

Palace have partnered with Gore-Tex to bring you a mini-collection of jackets and trousers for the up-coming Autumn 2020 Palace release.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Palace (officially Palace Skateboards) are a London based streetwear brand established in 2009. In the relatively short time that they’ve been on the streetwear scene, they’ve gained great notoriety. Initially selling their apparel from various skate shops across London, the brand now has four of its own stores in some of the biggest fashion and culture capitals of the world; London, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo as well as an online store. Originally worn by founder Levent Tanju and his skate team, you’ll now find people from all walks of life sporting Palace across the world.

Alongside the graphic tees and colourful sweatshirts, the Autumn 2020 drop will feature two Gore-Tex jackets in three colourways: camo, black and grey and white. Accompanying the jacket are the Gore-Tex ‘Wave Length Pant’ in the same three colourways.

With a two-zip fastening, secure zips on all pockets and the micro-porous, strong properties of Gore-Tex, these pieces are the perfect addition to your winter wardrobe and will keep you warm and dry in the often unpredictable British weather.

Gore-Tex has a pretty impressive history, which makes this collab even more exciting. In the 1980s, astronauts who took part in NASA’s first space-shuttle mission wore spacesuits constructed from Gore-Tex fibre and an expedition team wore Gore-Tex for the first ever non-mechanized crossing of Antarctica. So, if Gore-Tex is good enough for astronauts and explorers, it’s definitely good enough for the UK streetwear scene.

This drop won’t be the first time that Place and Gore-Tex have teamed up. There have been several previous Palace drops that have partnered with Gore-Tex technology, including the 2019 holiday capsule which featured jackets in natural prints inspired by the earth and water.

There’s been no release date yet for these pieces but Palace’s popularity on the streetwear scene means they won’t hang around for long.
