The previous collaborations between luxury streetwear brand Off-White and Nike have always been the topic of conversation between sneaker-mad sartorialists. Most recently, Abloh worked with Nike to create the ‘QUEEN’ range with Serena Williams for the US Open. Initially, since the announcement of the TEN collection, Abloh and Nike have released many collaborations. Now they’re debuting something that strips down the bare aesthetics of the iconic Air Max 97 and rebuilds it with a brand new focus.

The silhouette of the Air Max 97 will be released in a ‘Menta’ color-way, and was teased to the fashion world back in June during Off-White’s show at Paris Fashion Week. Combining iridescent tonal greys, the trainer boldly boasts the statement Nike ‘swoosh’ with a contrasting tri-color gradient. Of course the revamped Air Max 97 is printed with that medial side text in a Helvetica font. ‘AIR’ and ‘SHOELACES’ don the trainer to give that signature Off-White stamp. Other features of this highly anticipated release include a grey mudguard with a clear sole-unit, not to mention an extra pair of laces in a teal colour-way if the wearer wants to give their kicks a fresh new look from time to time. A zip tie will also be included for that signature finish.

The Off White x Nike ‘Menta’ Air Max 97 is set to drop on 10th November and is rumored to be priced at around $190 (£145.00).
