Nike ACG Reveal Their New SS20 Collection

The ACG range is renowned for their loud design aesthetic, whilst specialising in all-purpose gear, which is not only stylish, but made to battle the toughest of the outdoors. Designed for peak outdoor performance, this collection is undefeated when it comes to the unruliest of terrain.
Traditionally fusing creative, bold designs with high functionality, the ACG sub-brand has yet again done what it does best, and their SS20 collection is no different when it comes to advanced technical wear specifications and practicality. Designed and tested in Portland, Oregon (Nike’s hometown), the new SS20 ACG collection features a bold, contrasting palette highlighted with hues of red, yellow and green, alongside new, updated silhouettes and a more vintage looking aesthetic. Focusing on additional lightweight fabrics to suit the warmer season, this collection is one which is extremely versatile when it comes to styling options. Suited for both the extremities of the outdoors and the more casual of occasions, these pieces are investments which are certainly worth considering thinning out your wallet for.
The ACG range is also noticeably expanding their ranges to womenswear, making the brand more inclusive and adaptable to the growing market.
The new SS20 collection features a variety of pieces consisting of playful colour palettes and innovative design details. In ACG SS20, we can expect essential garments such as heavy pile fleece jackets, specialised Gore-tex outerwear, sweat pants, pullover sweatshirts, cargo shorts and vest tops to assist you right through from spring to summer.
The new spring/summer collection also sees the return of the revolutionary ACG Air Deschutz sandal, which first debuted in 1992. The ACG Air Deschutz silhouette was one of the first models to transform the good old sandal into a more technical, hybrid piece of footwear. The shoe comes as the perfect all-round option, suited to all activities. From lounging around the house, in the garden, to taking advantage and exploring the great outdoors, these sandals have got you covered. The OG pair came in a range of variations consisting of stand out colour palettes and feature details, some of which have been replicated in the 2020 version of this all time ACG classic. This time, the ACG Air Deschutz is back in a simple black colourway, complimented with accents of turquoise and orange. The sandal features a trail-like pattern texturizing the whole footbed. Signature Nike Swoosh branding sit on the cross-over foot straps, as well as the Nike Air stamp detailed on the rear strap. The design is finished with a subtle detail on the rear of the heel, where it is stamped ‘Nike ACG – All Conditions Gear – Designed and tested in Oregon, USA’, paying homage to the roots of the brand.
The new Nike ACG SS20 collection can be found at various retailers including Nike and END. The drop date for this collection, which also includes the new ACG Air Deschutz Sandal, is 14th May 2020. The sandals can also be purchased via Nike’s exclusive SNKRS app and other select retailers.Â
