The creative minds behind Moncler Genius have announced their star-studded creative team for the label’s “Art of Genius” live London Fashion Week show that brings together Moncler co-creators both familiar and new.

Moncler introduced its Genius concept in 2018 as a high-volume series of designer collaborations and the branch are now prepared to stretch its boundaries further than ever before, as some big name co-creators are set to take the brand to new creative heights.

The French-founded and Italian-based label explained that its five-year Genius project is “evolving from a world of fashion collaborations to a platform for co-creation across different industries.”

The full Genius list of of co-creators consists of three from the music industry – Roc Nation by Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and Pharrell Williams. The rest of the list consists of Mercedes-Benz, Palm Angels, Adidas Originals, Salehe Bembury, and FRGMT.

The inclusion of Jay-Z is the standout name to feature in the list. Pharrell Williams was one of Moncler‘s earliest collaborators, while Alicia Keys has previously helmed a Moncler Genius presentation in 2021.

The addition of Mercedes-Benz is the most intriguing crossover. The Stuttgart-based automotive titan has a history of sponsoring fashion weeks but has never previously worked with Moncler.

Also presenting concepts at Moncler’s London Fashion Week is returning Genius partners from fashion – Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Frgmt and Palm Angels. The streetwear label Palm Angels was actually founded by Moncler‘s former art director Francesco Ragazzi.

The final names taking part is Adidas Originals and Salehe Bembury – an American footwear designer who is currently vice president of men’s footwear at Versace.

Moncler‘s shift from “collaboration” to “co-creation” was first introduced by Moncler CEO Remo Ruffni in May 2022. The shift suggests Moncler’s desire to stretch beyond fashion and attract new audiences.

The title “co-creation” also suggests that their line of new products will be manufactured by all of the parties listed above and not Moncler alone.

Moncler released a statement explaining that each co-creator will be “presenting immersive experiences and performances that represent their creative visions.”

Moncler Genius‘ “Art of Genius” London Fashion Week show is scheduled to take place on Monday, February 20 at Olympia London.

The show will also debut the latest Moncler + Rick Owens collection, picking up where the co-creators left off with their 2021 drop.

You can register for tickets on Moncler’s website for the LFW show right now. However, if you can’t get to London then Moncler have you sorted with a live stream on their site that comes with the promise of “exclusive content” for logged-in visitors.
