They may not be exactly what we had imagined, but we’ve now gotten our first detailed look at the Moncler Genius x Adidas NMD S1 shoes from the upcoming Moncler “The Art of Genius” collaboration with the sportswear giants.
Moncler’s The Art of Genius show from London Fashion Week on February 20 offered a glimpse of the various collaborations that the luxury fashion house has prepared for the year. From a recently launched capsule with Alicia Keys, Palm Angels, and of course Adidas Originals.
We’ve now gotten a detailed look at Moncler‘s iteration of a classic Adidas silhouette, the NMD S1. Moncler take the creative reigns as the new silhouette arrives as a high-top boot and features a puffer jacket-like design along the top, making it suitable for all terrains and weather conditions.
Seen in the new image below (@le.syndrome via Instagram), the new NMD S1 arrives in an all-black colourway plus wrap around rope lacing, a raised cushioned midsole, and an outsole that bares similarities to Moncler’s signature Trailgrip footwear.
The Moncler Art of Genius Show unveiled more pieces we can expect from the Adidas “Art of Exploration” collection, with a focus on a variety of outerwear options with a futuristic aesthetic.Â
Known to withstand the coldest of climates, Adidas‘ signature Trefoil embroidery and more finishing touches have been applied to a variety of Moncler‘s classic puffer jackets.
Matching tracksuit bottoms and another pair of the collaborative NMD S1 trainers in a blue and white colourway are set to also arrive from the new collection. You can explore some snaps from Adidas‘ The Art of Genius show below.Â
An official release date is yet to be announced, but you can expect the Moncler x Adidas “The Art of Exploration” collection to launch some tome during the second half of 2023.
