Jordan have been relentless with their flurry of AJ1 High releases (which is in part due to the success of docuseries, The Last Dance)- and they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon! This time, they are adding a ‘Light Smoke Grey’ colourway to the collection, similar to the Air Dior collaboration we saw presented at the Dior Men’s Fall 2020 show in Miami. But instead of £1,800 a pair, the new AJ1 High Tops will only set you back £170.
The Air Dior partnership was the fastest selling luxury collaboration of 2020 so far. With only 8,500 pairs available of the high-top Air Diors available, they sold out almost instantly. Despite the economic troubles caused by COVID-19, there is clearly a consumer group willing to spend big on their sneakers.
Due to the similarity to the Air Dior AJ1 and the prior hype surrounding the release of this colourway, it’s expected that the ‘Light Smoke Grey’ will hold a high resell price post-release, much like the other AJ1 retro colourways have done.
